Dr. Chilton is originally from Maple Ridge, BC. She received her Bachelor Degree in Biology and Psychology at the University of Victoria in 2011, then moved to Vancouver to study medicine at UBC after working briefly as a piano teacher. After completing the Family Medicine residency program in Ottawa in 2018, she moved back to Victoria and worked as a locum around the South Island before joining a wonderful practice in Sooke. She and her husband, new son, and dog are happy to be planting roots where they first met. She loves yoga, family walks with her pup, gardening, knitting, cooking, camping, hiking, and music.

Dr. Minette Erlank

Dr. Erlank grew up in South Africa and completed her medical studies at the University of Pretoria in 2006. In 2010 she moved to Quesnel, Northern BC with her husband where they lived and worked until the summer of 2016. Victoria is home now and Minette and her husband feel blessed to be able to raise their three children here. In her free time, Dr. Erlank enjoys painting, running and spending time with family and friends.

Dr. Ferg was born in Winnipeg and raised in Flin Flon, Manitoba. She loved growing up in the subarctic, where she and her brothers enjoyed boating, fishing, swimming and camping during the long northern summers. She graduated from the University of Manitoba with her medical degree in 1984, immediately left the long cold winters behind to study family medicine in Victoria, and has practiced here since 1986. Allison enjoys spending time with her two young adult children, travelling with her husband, walking her dog, sitting in her garden, listening to all sorts of music, and reading voraciously. She loves to teach family medicine residents and medical students. She is a retired runner and has completed three Boston Marathons. Her new passion is cycling. And she has never met a gadget she didn’t like.

Dr. Molly Forrester

Dr. Molly Forrester was inspired to pursue medicine after the humanitarian organization Médecins Sans Frontières was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1999. This interest was furthered through subsequent volunteer trips to a mission hospital in Zimbabwe. She completed her Honours Bachelor of Science at the University of Toronto and subsequently attended medical school at McMaster University. In 2011, she moved from the Toronto area to Victoria to complete her training in family medicine. In addition to office-based family medicine, she offers maternity care and in-hospital care at Saanich Peninsula Hospital. She has three little ones of her own and takes great joy in welcoming new life into the world!

Dr. Monica Mentz

Dr. Mentz was born in Johannesburg, South Africa and is the eldest of five children. She studied medicine at Stellenbosch University and graduated with her medical degree in 1984. She left South Africa in 1987 on an adventure to see the world with her then-fiancée, and decided to immigrate to Canada soon after because of South Africa’s political instability. Monica and her husband, also a physician, were married in 1989. They have three children, two sons and a daughter, a Jack Russell terrier and a budgie. Her hobbies include running, tennis and raising children, though she knows that kids are more of a full-time job than a hobby!

Dr. Patricia Olsen

Dr. Olsen grew up along the north shore of Lake Superior in Northern Ontario. She has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Western Ontario and earned her M.D. from the University of Ottawa in 1990. After completing her family medicine residency in Ottawa in 1992, she returned to Thunder Bay and practiced for two years before getting married and moving across the country to Victoria, where she has been in family practice since. She loves babies. As a matter of fact, she loves them so much that she had four of her own. Dr. Olsen is now quite happy to be helping others welcome their little ones into the world. Outside of work, Dr. Olsen is active in the community, and loves music and the arts, reading and sewing. Her favourite past time of all, though, is cheering her kids on in their many adventures and activities.

Dr. Juliane Riemer

Dr. Juliane Riemer was born in Calgary, Alberta, and completed her M.D. through the University of Alberta in Edmonton. She moved to Vancouver Island in 2009 to complete her residency program, and found that this place was too good to leave! She and her husband and kids are so thankful to call Victoria home. Juliane Riemer has always loved the maternity side of medicine, and is excited to be able to work with you through your prenatal, labour and delivery, and postpartum care!
When she is not working, she loves exploring the back woods with her family and never turns down a chance to hang out at the beach!

Dr. Micah Simcoffhas enjoyed practicing family medicine including maternity care for over 16 years. He completed his medical degree and residency at the University of Manitoba. He practiced in Selkirk, Manitoba before moving to Victoria in 2008. He is a Clinical Instructor through the UBC Department of Family Practice. In his spare time, Dr. Simcoff loves spending time with his family, kayaking, and enjoying the great outdoors.
